Shortly to be seen in the Coen Brothers' Hail, Caesar!, Agyness Deyn has just set up her next gig. She'll join the cast of The Titan along with Diego Boneta and Aleksander Jovanovic. Sam Worthington is already aboard as the film's lead, supported by Sofia Boutella, Taylor Schilling and Tom Wilkinson.

There's a whiff of the familiar about that title for Worthington and Deyn, both of whom were previously in Clash Of The Titans. No krakens will be released this time, however; this one's an "elevated sci-fi" about a military family participating in a revolutionary experiment about genetic evolution in space.

There are no details of the cast's specific roles in the film yet, and also no longer any mention of Luther's Ruth Wilson, who was previously reported as attached.

Voltage Pictures (The Hurt Locker) are behind the film, with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister), Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh (Welcome To The Punch), and Arash Amel (Grace Of Monaco) producing. Amel also came up with the pitch that Max Hurwitz (Hell On Wheels) based the screenplay on. First-timer Lennart Ruff is the director.

Pre-production is underway, with shooting due to start imminently. The Titan doesnt have a release date to aim for yet, but we'll see Deyn in Hail, Caesar! on February 26, and Worthington in Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge sometime later this year.
