Clearly looking to boost its musical credentials, Disney's new live-action take on the Snow White story is adding a Tony winner. Andrew Burnap, who scored the award last year for The Inheritance on Broadway, is joining the film.

West Side Story's Rachel Zegler is starring as the title character, while Gal Gadot will channel an evil side of herself to play the Evil Queen. Marc Webb is in the director's chair for this new musical take, which has a script that has seen work from Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. We can expect some of the classic songs from the animated version but also new music from Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

In case you're thinking, 'oh, this new dude will play the Prince or the Huntsman,' think again! According to The Hollywood Reporter, he's nabbed a new role written for the film.

The cameras should be rolling this spring in the UK. Will the crew whistle while they work? Probably not – that would muck up takes something rotten.
