Anthony Mackie will be on our TV screens next year in Marvel/Disney+'s The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, but he's not limiting himself to one streaming service. Already a star of Netflix's Altered Carbon, he's now going to produce and star in a thriller called The Ogun for the company.
The Ogun focuses on Mackie’s character Xavier Rhodes, who takes his teenage daughter to Nigeria to find a cure for the rare genetic condition that he passed on to her. When his daughter is kidnapped, Rhodes goes on a rampage through the criminal underworld to find her before it’s too late.
While the film is currently without a director, it does at least have a script, which has been written by Madison Turner, a stuntman who has turned his hand to screenwriting and has several projects set up at different studios. Which means we're expecting plenty of action in the movie.
