The BFI London Film Festival returns to the capital and around the UK next month, and while we already knew the opening and closing night films, the full programme is now online. You can expect films from directors such as Edgar Wright, Wes Anderson, Pablo Larrain, Paul Verhoeven, Jane Campion and more.

As usual, the festival is crammed with exciting upcoming releases, fascinating documentaries, shorts and all manner of work from a wide variety of filmmakers. A small sample of the titles to be made available include Last Night In Soho, The French Dispatch, Spencer, The Power Of The Dog, Belfast, Benedetta, King Richard, The Souvenir: Part II, The Lost Daughter, Ron's Gone Wrong, Titane, DASHCAM, and The Hand Of God. There will be many more titles available from around the world.

Empire is getting in on the fun, working with the festival on the presentation of Craig Roberts' based-on-truth golf comedy drama The Phantom Of The Open, starring Mark Rylance and Sally Hawkins.

There will also be the usual introduction from and Q&As with directors, creators, writers and actors in the Screen Talks section.

And as with last year's event, the LFF organizers have laid in plans to make screenings more accessible, with selected cinemas across the country participating and some content available on the BFI Player. Head here for more information on that.

The festival will run between 6 to 17 October, and tickets will go on general sale on 20 September. Some screenings and events sell out quickly – but extra tickets go on sale on 30 September and on the day of the screening. Become a BFI Member for a fast pass to the hottest tickets. Priority booking opens for BFI Patrons on 10 September, BFI Champions on 13 September and BFI Members on 14 September. For full details on the programme and booking, head to the fest's site.
