Pixar announced on Friday that Brad Bird will be directing Ratatouille, a full-length feature which has been developed in-house by Oscar-winning short animated film director Jan Pinkava.
The film is about a rat called – you guessed it – Ratatouille, who lives in an upmarket Parisian restaurant run by a famous but eccentric chef.
A sneak peak with fully rendered characters was already shown to Disney shareholders on Friday, but the film is not due for release until June 29, 2007. We’ll keep you up to date as we hear more.
