Given the number of pictures Bryan Singer has been posting on Twitter since he took over directing** X-Men: Days Of Future Past**, we’re beginning to worry that half the running time will just be shots of him looking up from his phone and grinning sheepishly as wa-waa music plays. Still, his behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie has certainly been entertaining, and he’s just posted a picture of Halle Berry as Storm.

While we’ve known for a while that Ororo Munroe would be back for the new X-Men adventure, no one had had a look at her in costume until now. It seems she’s gone for more of a spiky ‘do in this one, and her costume looks more Steampunk than the sleeker leather numbers of yore. It's not quite as punk as Storm goes at one point in the comics - there's no mohawk here - but it's still a seriously tough ensemble for the weather witch.

Given Berry’s pregnancy, she won’t be able to do quite as much action as she’d hoped in the film, but Storm’s still likely to be a key player in the story, which finds the present-day X-team dealing with a dark vision of the world where mutants are kept in concentration camps and Sentinels patrol the streets. Their ‘70s-era equivalents have to fight to stop that dark future from coming to pass.

With Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy and Daniel Cudmore aboard, Days Of Future Past is shooting now (assuming someone can get Bryan to put the phone down) and will be out on July 17 next year.
