Never ones to skimp on connecting its movies and TV series, Marvel has announced that Ms. Marvel's Iman Vellani and WandaVision's Teyonah Parris will both show up in Captain Marvel 2.
Featuring Brie Larson back as Carol Danvers, the Captain Marvel sequel has Candyman's Nia DaCosta in the director's chair.
Parris' casting make sense, since her character Monica Rambeau is the grown version of the young woman that Danvers knew in the first film, so that'll make for a fun dynamic. Vellani's Ms. Marvel, meanwhile, is a big fan of the good Captain, and we're sure there will be jokes about their shared monikers.
The movie is scheduled to arrive in July 2022.
