This is only minor news, but today is slower than a septuagenarian 100m hurdles race. Though it was assumed since the announcement of a sequel that the cast of Transformers would return for Transformers 2, it's only today that the line up has actually been fully confirmed. Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Whitwicky, as we already knew, but he's joined by Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro.
We're a little surprised that those last three are in the second film, since they seemed to complete their story character arcs by the end of the first. Rainn Wilson (the American version of The Office) also joins the cast as a stuffy college professor.
Of course, none of these people are giant robots so you probably won't be paying much attention to them anyway.
Transformers 2, written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and directed by Michael Bay, is currently shooting.
