For the last seven weeks, John Krasinski has been bringing a palpable sense of joy, hope and silliness to the interwebs via his YouTube show Some Good News and a series of half suits. He's decided to wrap it up – at least for now – and bowed out with a blend of retrospective look at shows past and a few new stories of good news.
In the weeks that the show has been running, Krasinski has hosted a virtual prom for graduating students, rounded up celebrity commencement speakers to answer questions, reunited his Office cast-mates to help celebrate a fan couples' wedding and treated a girl (and the watching world) to a Zoom-powered performance by the original cast of Hamilton. Along the way, there have been celebrity weather correspondents and a host of copycats, warmly embraced and encouraged by Krasinski. Oh, and he somehow got Emily Blunt to appear. How did he pull off that one... Ah, yes.
All in all, it has been a virtual bright spot during the pandemic, and given that the world is nowhere near normal yet, Some Good News may yet return.
