One of the driving forces of the first season of Legion was the villainous Amahl Farouk, also known as the Shadow King, who had infested the brain of super-powered type David Haller (Dan Stevens). In Season Two, we'll get to another of his forms, and Faouk will be played by Wonder Woman's Saïd Taghmaoui.

Thus far, we've only met the Shadow King in the guise of Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), David's former best friend, and a yellow-eyed demon persona brought to life by Quinton Boisclair. While they'll both be back for the new season, Taghmaoui will be the smooth-talking, stylish version.

And at the panel, we also learned that the Shadow King (one of the two characters actually taken from the pages of Marvel comics) was actually considered for an appearance in the X-Men movies, according to producer Lauren Shuler Donner, who works on the show. "I thought it was a wonderful idea,” to include the Shadow King in Legion, Donner said, "one we had a little bit discussed in the movies, but decided not to pursue at the times. I thought this was a wonderful way to explore it."

The next season of Legion will also run two episodes longer, with 10 shows. Something to look forward to next year, then...
