With a third Deadpool movie in the works and two of its writers – stalwarts Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese – out promoting another job, Netflix's Spiderhead – there's naturally news about Ryan Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth. According to Wernick and Reese, bringing Wade Wilson into the MCU offers plenty of chances for fresh fun.

According to Reese, it's “a wonderful opportunity for a fish-out-of-water story.” You can just imagine the sort of havoc that Deadpool can wreak in the wider MCU. By the time he's done making fun of people, they might beg for Thanos' return. “Deadpool is a lunatic at the center of a movie,” Reese adds. "To drop a lunatic in a very sane world, it’s straight butter. It’s going to be really fun."

We've had several assurances from Disney brass and Wernick and Reese themselves that the move to the MCU won't neuter Deadpool's filthy humour, and even with Shawn Levy directing the third instalment, expect the chaos to continue unabated.

Deadpool 3, as of right now, though, doesn't have a scheduled release date.
