Back in June, we learned that Dwayne Johnson was on board to produce and star in a new, Christmas-themed action-adventure comedy called Red One. We now know that he's looking to re-team with his Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle director Jake Kasdan.
Kasdan, who also made follow-up Jumanji: The Next Level, will also become a producer on the film. Birthed as a pitch by Johnson's producing partner, Hiram Garcia, Red One is being described as "a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre." Fast And Furious veteran Chris Morgan is busy cranking out the script, while Amazon is providing the funding.
While we don't know exact story details, this does sound like it could feature Santa in at least some form. Can it be long before The Rock humorously casts Kevin Hart as an elf?
