Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson brought his considerable charisma to the virtual DC FanDome event to talk up his entry into the DC movie universe with Black Adam. Though the film is still at an early pre-production stage, he arrived bearing a concept art-filled teaser and a look at other characters for the film. First up, the teaser...

Charting some of Black Adam's history, including the fact that he rose from being a slave to meting out his particular, powerful brand of justice in the society of Kahndaq 5,000 years ago. It didn't end so well for him, ending up imprisoned for millennia. And now he's out and ready to keep fighting.

Johnson enthused about the character's brand of no-nonsense justice, something that will bring him into conflict with more straightforward heroes, including, in the film the Justice Society Of America, including Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Cyclone and Atom Smasher. Of those we only have casting details for the latter, with Noah Centineo showing up at the panel to talk his training regime and his excitement at joining The Rock in the cast.

You can see more (well, concept art) of the other characters below.

With Jaume Collet-Serra in the director's chair, Black Adam will be out in December 2022.
