The new issue of Empire arrives in all good and not-so-good newsagents from tomorrow, and within its pages you will find all manner of exclusives – among them, this exclusive early look at Logan Lucky, which sees director Steven Soderbergh return behind the camera. Our exclusive image sees Adam Driver and Channing Tatum’s definitely-not-lucky Logan brothers asking Daniel Craig’s hick inmate Joe Bang for help while in prison.

“It seemed like the complete inversion of an Ocean’s film,” Soderbergh explains in the new issue of Empire. “They have no money, no technology, yet they’re doing something that seems not only impossible, but stupid.”

Judging from the barnstorming trailer, it looks like a singular treat. "If it plays out how I’m intending,” he says, “it’ll open up a path for the kind of films the studios have sort of abandoned.” We wouldn’t bet against him pulling it off.

For more on Logan Lucky and approximately a trillion other new films, be sure to pick up a copy of the new issue of Empire, on sale from Thursday 15 June. Want to get your copy before the crowd? Subscribe to Empire here{ =nofollow}.
