While we're all excited to witness the multiverse chaos brought to the MCU Peter Parker's world this month in Spider-Man: No Way Home, there has also been a big announcement in that other parallel dimension-spanning Spidey franchise that kicked off with Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse in 2018. Though a sequel had already been announced, we now know that A) it's called Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse and B) it'll be split into two parts. Check out the first teaser...

And from that teaser, we can see that we'll be catching back up again with young Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), dragged into another adventure by Hailee Steinfeld's Spider-Gwen. Oh, and there's a look at Spider-Man 2099, AKA Miguel O’Hara, and voiced by Oscar Isaac, who was originally introduced at the end credit sting of the original movie.

It also looks like Miles will have an all-new dimension to get into trouble in, one that is 2-D animated. According to the official description, "Across The Spider-Verse is "an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered." We're also promised some old friends showing up too. Come on, Spider-Ham!

Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson are directing this one, while main producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller wrote the script with *Shang-Chi*'s Dave Callaham. Lord and Miller told Entertainment Weekly that there was simply too much story to cram into one movie: "Miles' story is an epic. We wrote what we thought the story needed to be, and to our surprise we realized it was two movies instead of one. We're working on them both as we speak. Part Two will be out sometime in 2023. We will sleep again in 2024." For more from the pair, head to EW's site](https://ew.com/movies/spider-man-across-the-spider-verse-first-look/)).

Spider-Man: Across The Spider Verse (Part One) will be in cinemas next October.
