Roll over Michael Moore and Bill Maher, there's a new kid on the documentary block. Chris Rock's Good Hair takes the microscope to America's multi-billion black hair industry and judging by the trailer, he's got the hang of the medium pretty quickly. Click here to watch it{ =nofollow}.

Good Hair was inspired by Rock's daughter who asked him "Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?", prompting the comedian to grab a camera and discover for himself the pressure on black women to have fine looking locks ("If your hair is nappy, they're not happy"). Directed by Rock's fellow stand-up Jeff Stilson and featuring cameo appearances from Salt-n-Pepa, Ice-T and Al Sharpton, Good Hair got a rapturous reception at this year's Sundance where it picked up a Special Prize.

There's no word of a UK release, but if you're in the US you'll be able to catch Good Hair in cinemas from October 9.
