Not content with inheriting a bar from Tom Waits this week (albeit only in new movie The Good Heart – read that story here), Ryan Gosling has gone and found himself another film to star in.
And this one couldn’t be more different. In Lars And The Real Girl, he’ll play a geeky loner who finds a beautiful Real Girl doll on the ‘net. Yes, we really are talking about a romantic comedy in which a fully-grown man falls in love with one of those creepy “life-like” sex toys.
Real Girl springs from the mind of Nancy Oliver, who served on the writing staff of Six Feet Under, so you know we can expect a nicely twisted tale. Craig Gillespie will be calling the shots later this year.
