He’s dodged Stormtroopers, endured torture and even survived time in carbonite, but it appears Han Solo’s one true enemy is… a door. Harrison Ford has suffered a broken ankle on the Pinewood set of **Star Wars: Episode VI****I{ =nofollow}.

Disney put out an official statement on the incident, which reads thus: "Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.” We now have a mental image of J.J. Abrams sadly switching the Days Without An Accident sign on the set to zero. Then covering the sign up, because that could be a spoiler.

While no further official details of the accident were released, The Hollywood Reporter has heard that Ford was hurt by a hydraulic door on the set of the Millennium Falcon, which means we can probably expect a scene where Han curses his favourite vessel out in the movie.

Little else about the movie has been revealed so far, aside from the fact that Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew are returning for a story set 30 years since Return Of The Jedi. They’ll be sharing the screen with new Wars arrivals John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow. Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18, 2015. Get well soon, Sir!
