As part of Disney's big investor day last December, there was a nugget of news about the long-gestating Enchanted sequel, which we learned was called Disenchanted. Back then, all that we learned beyond the title was that Amy Adams was confirmed to return and that it would be a Disney+ premiere. Now, thanks to a new interview with composer Alan Menken, there is word that Idina Menzel and James Marsden are also fully on board.

The video (which you can find at the bottom of the page courtesy of JLGB Virtual), sees Menken talking up the new movie and dropping word that the people behind Nancy Tremaine and Prince Edward are both returning.

And separately, Patrick Dempsey has said he'll be back as Robert Philip, so that's the majority of the main cast who are all ready to show up. Adam Shankman is in the director's chair for the movie, which according to Menken, has started shooting. It sounds like it should be on screens either later this year or, more likely, in 2022
