Jennifer Lawrence has plenty of movies competing for her attention, but she's decided to add one more potential role, signing on to star for writer/director Gene Stupnitsky in No Hard Feelings.

Stupnitsky, who last co-wrote and directed Good Boys, worked on the script with John Phillips, who was a producer on that film. The exact plot is being kept a secret, though it's apparently set in Montauk, New York and is a coming of age tale with shades of Risky Business.

According to Deadline, Sony nabbed the package of Lawrence, Stupnitsky and the script after various companies showed interest, but the usually deep-pocketed likes of Apple and Netflix dropped out after seeing the cost. Sony, though, fought to score the deal and locked it down quickly, aiming to have cameras rolling next year.

Lawrence has Adam McKay's Don't Look Up landing on Netflix on 24 December, while she's also worked on Red, White And Water.
