Though he's mostly been busy reviewing what little footage he was able to shoot on the film before the Coronavirus shutdown took hold, Jurassic World: Dominiondirector Colin Trevorrow has also been putting the pieces in place for a movie he intends to tackle once he's finished dabbling with dinos. He's come up with a concept for a film called Atlantis.
With an idea dreamt up by the director and Bridge Of Spies' Matt Charman, Atlantis will skip the usual idea of the city as lurking under the water, and instead set it on a lost continent in the Indian Ocean between Africa, India and Oceania. It'll be a multicultural civilization full of advanced technology. Alien: Covenant's Dante Harper is on to write the script and Trevorrow has already had a team developing design ideas for the movie.
Trevorrow is on to produce the film via his Metronome Film Co for Universal. Before that can happen, though, Trevorrow has the small matter of finishing Dominion, which is looking to re-start production next month with the requisite Covid safety precautions.
