Katherine Waterston knows how to act her way around a thriller, so she feels like the right choice for State Like Sleep, which originally premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. The trailer can be found below.
One year after the sudden death of her celebrity husband (Michiel Huisman's Stefan), Katherine Grand (Waterston) receives a phone call that pulls her back to Brussels and the life there that she's tried to forget. Once back, she discovers a web of secrets that compel her to unravel the mysteries surrounding Stefan’s last days alive...
Turns out there are more dangerous elements at play here, and Katherine will have to dig deep if she's to discover the truth. The likes of Michael Shannon, Luke Evans (sporting a shock of blond hair) and Carlo Rota also star, with Meredith Danluck writing and directing.
State Like Sleep is headed to US screens via digital and On Demand on 1 January, with a limited theatrical release kicking off on 4 January. There's no word yet as to when the film might make it to British shores.
