She hasn’t directed a film since 2002’s sub thriller **K-19: The Widowmaker **took a dive at the box office, but Kathryn Bigelow is back back back with a cat-and-mouse hunt for army bomb experts.

The Hurt Locker tracks the exploits of a top squad of explosive disposal experts who have to battle their own demons at the same time as dangerous missions in a place where anything – and anyone – can be hiding a bomb.

With a script co-written by** In The Valley Of Elah** scribe Mark Boal, Bigelow starts shooting in March.
