Kevin Costner is suing Beverly Hills-based Ascendant Pictures to the tune of $8 million over a cancelled film. Costner’s suit alleges that he and the company had an oral agreement in December 2004 that he’d receive the money for starring in Taming Ben Taylor, a romantic comedy about a grouchy divorcee refusing to sell his vineyard. The film collapsed when Ascendant pulled out in June of this year, and now Mr Kevin’s after his money – plus any legal fees.
