Wahey! The new **Land of the Lost **trailer is online and it's really rather fun. Sure, Will Ferrell's doing his usual schtick, with Danny McBride and Anna Friel barely getting a word in, but it also looks like a film with decent effects and some serious laughs: check it out here in hi-def.
The film sees Ferrell play hapless inventor and Park Ranger (shades of Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back) Rick Marshall who invents a sort-of time machine and ends up sucked through a space-time vortex into a world filled with weird beasts, dinosaurs and strange artefacts. On the evidence here, expect some good action scenes in amid Ferrell playing another man-child with self-esteem issues (but, in fairness, playing it well) and Friel having an inexplicable crush on him. And watch out for that blood-sucking bug...
Land of the Lost is out here on July 31 - because it isn't summer unless there's an action-comedy with a T-Rex in there somewhere.
