Laurence Fishburne Is Prey

If you go into the woods today… You’re sure of a nasty surprise.

At least, that’s the premise of Laurence Fishburne’s new film, Prey. He’ll play a man – clearly a little too in love with the great outdoors- who heads out on a solo hunting trip in the middle of a harsh winter, only to end up with severe leg injuries. He gets rescued by a mysterious trapper who (wouldn’t you just guess) has secret, sinister motives. Colour us distinctly non-shocked by this revelation.

James Marsh is directing from Jerrold Brown’s script. Fishburne will go on his fateful trip this autumn, after he’s finished directing and starring in The Alchemist For Warner Brothers. Oh, and he’ll crop up in spelling bee drama Akeelah And The Bee later this year.
