Liam Neeson's most recent release might be the more sedate likes of Ordinary Love, but that doesn't mean he's left the action thriller genre behind. Far from it: he has a couple on the way. And the actor has signed on to another, agreeing to star for Martin Campbell in Memory.

Aimed as a remake of 2003 Belgian film The Memory Of A Killer, Memory has a script by The Punisher's Dario Scardapane, and sees Neeson as an expert assassin who becomes a target himself when he refuses to complete a job for a dangerous criminal organisation. But it's not like he can just call the cops for help - with the FBI also on his trail given his day job, the man will have to draw on his exceptional skills to survive.

Campbell, who last released Jackie Chan-starring The Foreigner (and is busy at work on The Asset), wants to have the cameras rolling this August, while STX International will sell the film rights at the Berlin Film Festival's European Film Market, which has just kicked off.
