A Load Of Balls

It has come to our attention that, due to some unfathomable oversight, we have failed to draw your attention to what is sure to be one of the summer's comedic masterpieces: Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Rarely have we laughed so long or so hard as when we saw the rather brilliant trailer for Rawson Marshall Thurber's comedy - which you can see here if you missed it. The film pits Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller against each other as their respective teams face of in the Las Vegas dodgeball tournament. Granted, the concept is not initially hilarious on the page but trust us, this one's gonna be funny as hell. The official site has just updated with a pair of marvellously daft clips from the film that we hereby urge you to experience. The first is a lesson in how not to play the game (and really, how can you go wrong with a guy getting repeatedly hit in the face?) and the second is an equally silly and no less funny mock documentary on the history of the sport, featuring the godlike genius of Hank Azaria as Patches O'Hoolihan. Dodgeball, we salute thee.
