As if the WandaVision and The Falcon And The Winter Soldier trailers weren’t exciting enough, Marvel Studios had more footage up its sleeve at the Disney Investor’s Update – an appearance from the God Of Mischief himself. Yes, the long-awaited Loki series coming to Disney+ finally has a trailer, bringing Tom Hiddleston back as Thor’s villainous brother. And it seems the trickster god has tons of, well, new tricks to show us – watch the new footage below, promising something pretty wild for the streaming service.

As the trailer confirms, the show follows that Loki who escaped with the Tesseract in an alternative timeline in Avengers: Endgame – and this version of the character will be hopping around in time and space, and crossing paths with a big new threat and a mysterious new organisation called the ‘TVA’ (or, the Time Variance Authority), who seem to know more about him than he suspects. Well, we say mysterious, but they're from the comics, so if you want to learn more, head here){href='https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Time_Variance_Authority_(Multiverse)' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'}.

Beyond the glorious return of Hiddleston as one of the MCU’s greatest characters, Owen Wilson makes a major impression in the footage, playing someone who seems to be pretty high up at the TVA. We also get a quick look at Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s mysterious new character, glimpses of Loki in various guises, and flashes of other figures. Between Loki and WandaVision, it looks like Marvel is really pushing the boat out narratively and visually on the small screen – and, most excitingly, we’ll be seeing this one on Disney+ in May 2021, shortly after the arrival of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
