Macaulay Culkin - Home Alone Again

In recent years the 30-something Macaulay Culkin has developed a sporting willingness to return (for lolz) to his signature childhood role of Home Alone's Kevin McCallister. Back in 2015 he starred in a suprise short film in which Kevin turns out to have grown up... somewhat dark. Now, in a much lighter vein, arrives Home Alone Again: a new ad for the Google Assistant.

As you'll have seen, the set-up is Macaulay-as-Kevin enjoying a solitary Christmas with aftershave antics, bed jumping, pizza and his perennial viewing of Angels With Filthy Souls. But it's all a bit more under control these days, thanks to his fully-loaded smart home and its Google hub. It all looks so functional that even the Wet Bandits decide to just drive on.

It's amusing, but arguably not as amusing as the days when Kevin's home security involved Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern getting hit in the face.

Away from nostalgic Kevin-based hi-jinks, Culkin has of late been busy with his comedy website. We'll next see him on screen in Seth Green's Thailand-set comedy-drama Changeland, currently in post-production and awaiting a release date.
