Switching back to animated action for the next big screen incarnation of classic cartoon Scooby Doo, currently called Scoob, is adding to its voice cast. Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs are the latest recruits.

Scoob will see the Mystery Inc. gang – Shaggy (Will Forte), Scooby (Frank Welker), Fred (Zac Efron), Daphne (Amanda Seyfried) and Velma (Gina Rodriguez) – joined by fellow Hanna Barbera character Captain Caveman (Tracy Morgan) – trying to save the world from the machinations of the evil Dick Dastardly, with the threat this time much more serious than usual.

Isaacs is tapping into his villainous side to be Dastardly, while Wahlberg is aboard to voice the superhero Blue Falcon, who was introduced into the HB universe in a 1970s Saturday morning cartoon.

Tony Cervone is marshalling the 'toon madness, working from a script currently credited to Kelly Fremon Craig and Matt Lieberman. It'll be out on 15 May next year.
