Mindhunter Season 2

It still somehow seems a little unbelievable that an actual fourth Matrix movie is in the works, but the more we learn about the return of some classic castmembers and the odd new face, the more interested we become. The latest addition to the "newcomer" list is Mindhunter and Frozen II's Jonathan Groff.

The stage and screen veteran has, according to Collider, nabbed an unspecified role. It would be easy to pigeonhole him as one the villainous agents given his usual suit-clad role in Mindhunter, but he's more than just the driven FBI agent.

Currently, returning co-writer/director Lana Wachowski has Matrix veterans Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith back in their roles, while the likes of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick and Neil Patrick Harris will join them as mystery new characters, though Collider has heard a rumour that Harris is playing a villain.

The Matrix 4, or whatever it ends up being called (The Matrix Rebooted?) will kick off shooting early next year, but has yet to announce a release date.
