Fans of Pixar-powered superheroics, fantastic music and supremely silly pun titles for soundtrack listings, rejoice. Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino has officially signed on to write the score for The Incredibles 2.

As announced by no less a source than Incredibles writer/director Brad Bird (with Giacchino seen above in the tweet either signing his contract or the delivery receipt for a new batch of track name gags), it’s fantastic news for anyone (like us) who can’t quite picture seeing Mr. Incredible and the whole family back without hearing Giacchino’s stirring horns and ‘60s-vibe orchestrations.

It makes sense to land his services early (not that Giacchino wouldn’t jump at the chance to work with Bird or anyone from Pixar again), as he’s always in demand. Just this year, he scored Jupiter Ascending, Bird’s Tomorrowland, Jurassic World and Pixar’s Inside Out. On his list of future assignments already? Disney’s Zootropolis, Star Trek Beyond and War For The Planet Of The Apes (though that one isn’t due until 2017).

We don’t yet know what the new Incredibles film will actually be about – Bird is keeping that information locked away in Pixar’s Emeryville base for now – but we do know it’ll sound great.
