Might We See Burton's Monsterpocalypse?

It’s news like this that kind of has us itching for the days when Tim Burton drove the creative vision of his films… DreamWorks is proposing an adaptation of miniatures game Monsterpocalypse in the hope of getting the director to add it to his ever-growing list of possible projects.

Deadline reports that it’s early days yet, with the project in its very early stages and no deals signed. But if Burton took it on, he’d be digging a movie out of Matt Wilson’s game concept, which features a Godzilla-style battle of the monsters in a fictional city.

And even if Burton does find it of interest, it’ll have to wait for a script to be written and for space on his schedule to clear. He’s busy right now being a judge in Cannes, and then maybe, just maybe, he’ll get down to working on Dark Shadows.
