Following on from his fun work as Mobius on Loki, Owen Wilson is headed to another part of the Disney machine. He's joining the cast of the new Haunted Mansion movie.

LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish are starring in the remake, which will become the latest film from Dear White People's Justin Simien.

The new movie's story follows a family that moves into the titular mansion. Stanfield would be a widower who once believed in the supernatural but is now a rather lifeless tour guide in New Orleans’s French Quarter. Haddish would play a psychic hired to commune with the dead.

Katie Dippold wrote the script, which once again takes the much-loved theme park attraction as its basis.

Wilson's role is unknown for now, while Simien will kick off shooting this October in Atlanta.
