Signaling that the film is well and truly out of the development woods, Will Smith drama Collateral Beauty is bolstering its cast. Edward Norton, Michael Pena and Naomie Harris have all jumped aboard the project and Rachel McAdams is in talks to join them.

The film finds Smith as a New York advertising executive who suffers a massive personal tragedy. Shocked at how quickly his life is going into a tailspin, his colleagues hatch an unorthodox plan to help him, only to see it backfire in unexpected ways.

As with all the casting reports so far on the film, there are no details for what any of the new arrivals would be doing in the film, nor do we yet know how Helen Mirren, who has officially signed on, fits in. But director David Frankel is looking to have the cameras rolling next month.

McAdams, who has just scored an Oscar nomination for Spotlight, is at work on Marvel's Doctor Strange and would move from that to this new job if she locks in a deal. Norton, last seen in Birdman, is voicing a role in Seth Rogen's animated comedy Sausage Party. Pena, who played pilot Rick Martinez in The Martian, is busy shooting the film version of cult cop series CHiPs. And Harris, who was in cinemas as Moneypenny in Spectre, will be seen in next year's Jungle Book: Origins, but is sticking with the spy world for O_ur Kind Of Traitor_, due May 6.
