When the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer dropped back in August, one character stole the show: Alfred Molina’s returning Doc Ock, aka Otto Octavius, who was last seen in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 and has now, somehow, found his way into the MCU. But he wasn’t the only villain teased in that trailer – because there was also a shot of a familiar-looking pumpkin bomb, along with a distinctive cackle that will have sent fans all the way back to 2002. It seems that Molina will be joined by Willem Dafoe, returning at the Green Goblin from Raimi’s first Spidey flick – and he can be glimpsed on the film’s first poster. Check it out.

If you look past the Doc Ock tentacles, the flash of lightning (hello, Electro!), those swirls of sand (hello, Sandman!), and Spider-Man himself (hello, Peter!), you’ll see Goblin flying on his glider – looking pretty much exactly how we remember him from the original Spider-Man. Despite internet rumours to the contrary, the helmet is back – now we just need confirmation that Dafoe will be too. It really wouldn’t be the same without him.

Now that the long-awaited poster is finally here, could we be seeing a new trailer before long? One which gives us a little more Green Goblin goodness? Keep those Spidey senses sharp, everyone.
