A major concern for fans of the original The Thing was how Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. and his new (old) crew of Norwegian and American scientists were going to fit in with the original's story.

This video we have for you below seeks to rectify your understandable anxieties. Emphasis on the "seeks" there, by the way.

Mixing trailer footage from the film itself with video interviews with the stars (Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton) and producers (J. Miles Dale), as well as Carpenter's 1982 classic itself, it goes some way to making horror buffs more reassured.

**The Thing **is out December 2.
