Wes Anderson has a group of actors that he routinely casts in his films – his ensemble has grown over the years to include Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Tilda Swinton. But he's also still willing to work with new faces, and for his next film, he's hired fresh-faced newcomer Tom Hanks.

All right, so Hanks has a little bit of experience, but it'll be fascinating to see how he fits in with Anderson's typically quirky, structured style. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it's likely to be a relatively small role.

Swinton, Murray and Adrien Brody are all aboard the new film, which already has sets being built in Spain. Plot details are, so far, unknown, though rumours have pointed a love story aspect.

Anderson's latest, The French Dispatch, will arrive on 22 October.
