Djimon Hounsou’s hoping for a little slice of the Hustle & Flow action. At least, he’s signed on to The Trunk, which follows a prodigy trying to put his tough inner city life behind him thanks to his musical skills. We're not sure of the man's chosen instrument yet - could be more Shine or even Fingers than Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (fingers crossed).

Sylvain White – who has just directed street dancing college pic Stomp The Yard – will tackle the tale of Hounsou’s talented muso, who discovers that his best mates are trying to do anything they can to stop him breaking out.

Boris Kodjoe, Brian White and Thomas Kretschmann are also starring, and the movie tunes up in San Francisco next year.
