If you thought the "We are Groot" moment in Guardians of the Galaxy was a heart-warmer, wait until you see Eddie Brock and his violent, skull-crunching symbiote declare "We are Venom". The pair are a match made somewhere other than heaven in the new Venom trailer, which finally sees the Marvel anti-hero make a full appearance in all his goopy glory.
There’s plenty new to see (and hear) in the trailer, including a proper taste of Venom’s rumbling, sarcastic baritone, Brock’s Noo Yawk drawl, and a full-length look at the comic book character come to life. Then there’s a head-chomping finale (off-screen, sadly), talk of rolling turds (really), and a slow-mo shot of goodie-baddie Venom and baddie-baddie Riot in a symbiote-on-symbiote brawl. The cast is still an impressive ensemble here, with the likes of Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson on board.
All-in-all, this is a much more revealing look at Ruben Fleischer’s film, which is only a matter of months away – Venom is set for a 5 October release in the UK.
