He might not be making another Happy Death Day movie, but Christopher Landon is keeping his connection with the Blumhouse team alive with a new, untitled film that has a high concept and, now, a cast. Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton are on to star.

Collider brings word of the casting, while Deadline has confirmed the storyline, which Landon wrote alongside Michael Kennedy: "After swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer, a young girl in high school discovers she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent." So it's Freaky Friday meets Friday The 13th? Certainly sounds like it could be entertaining, and Landon has proved he can handle offbeat concepts.

Vaughn has Seberg on the way, along with indie thriller Arkansas. Newton, seen in Big Little Lies and Detective Pikachu, will be back next year for the second season of Netflix's The Society.
