Original Title:

A Belfast Story

Belfast is swept by murders of ageing former IRA members in writer-director Nathan Todd’s debut feature. Colm Meaney is typically solid as the dour, seen-too-much investigator, but the portentous drama is thrown away as one grizzled killer is dropped after another.

Less controversial than its misguided PR mailer and a lot less newsworthy too. A thriller that means well but falls some way short of thrilling.
