What do Wim Wenders, Robert Redford and the late Austrian documentarian Michael Glawogger have in common? Not much, but their perspectives are all united in this serenely beautiful omnibus doc, presented in 3D, which takes the phrase “if these walls could talk” literally. Wenders curated this field day for architecture buffs, in which six filmmakers explore their own idea of a ‘cultural cathedral’, be it the Berlin Philharmonic or a Norwegian prison, and narrate their stories in the process. Best of all: Brazilian director Karim Ainouz’s vibrant tribute to Paris’ quirky Centre Pompidou.
