Outside of his acting work, Jesse Eisenberg has been making a name for himself on the stage, writing, directing and starring in plays. Now he's looking to bring that triple level of work to the small screen, landing a deal to make a new single-camera comedy called The Market for J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions.
The basic concept focuses on newly widowed Harold Katzman, who decides to move to Pittsburgh to live with his grown son, Stan (Eisenberg). But they then lose their jobs at the same time due to the shifting American economy and are stuck looking for work together.
The Bad Robot team has Warner Bros. TV producing the show, and it'll be available to various channels. Eisenberg has been working on another TV show, Bream Gives Me Hiccups, which is based on his writing collection. On the big screen, he'll next be seen as Lex Luthor in Justice League, due on 17 November.
