And, as the looks at the show have already outlined, this is very much in the Thrones style of power plays and political wrangling, with clashes between great houses.
But even more specifically, it's a battle of the sexes within House Targaryen, as family members vie for the throne.

House Of The Dragon, created by Thrones novelist George RR Martin (and based on his novel Fire & Blood), Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik, will arrive in the UK via Sky on 22 August, following its 21 August Stateside launch on HBO Max.
