Netflix clearly decided that 30 November was a day to release a whole slew of updates about returning shows and information about new series in the works. And yes, Vikings fans, now we know when Vikings: Valhalla will invade our screens.
That one is scheduled for 25 February, but it's the tip of the series iceberg, as the streaming service had a whole host of announcements to make. Among the new genre shows headed our way are podcast adaptation Archive 81 (a genre-bending thriller about a man restoring archive tapes who becomes wrapped up in a cult conspiracy, out 14 January), In From The Cold, following a woman who confronts her past as a Russian spy with experimental abilities, due 28 January, and a second season of the Michael B. Jordan-produced Raising Dion, which will be with us on 1 February.
Undated, but also arriving next year are the Army Of The Dead animated spin-off Lost Vegas (a prequel about Dave Bautista's Scott), zombie tale All Of Us Are Dead, vampire story First Kill, tech thriller Cyberpunk Edgerunners and odd animated series The Cuphead Show!
Netflix also confirmed the return of shows including Alice In Borderland, Locke & Key, The Umbrella Academy and Stranger Things, plus new series we knew about such as The Sandman, Magic: The Gathering, Resident Evil, The Witcher: Blood Origin and Mike Flanagan's The Midnight Club.
Even more intriguingly, the company's UK arm announced a batch of new shows, including new work from Blue Story's Andrew "Rapman" Onwubolu, The Split's Abi Morgan and The End Of The F*ing World's Charlie Covell.
