Slow Horses, the Apple spy drama (with dark comedy running through) it adapted from Mick Herron's book series, has clearly hit with viewers. Apple TV+ took a gamble by commissioning a second season alongside the first, and now it will also bring us a third and fourth season of the Gary Oldman-fronted show.

In case you've yet to watch the series, Slow Horses follows a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents who serve in a dumping ground department of the agency known not-so-affectionately as Slough House.

Oldman is Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world.

In Season 3, Jackson Lamb’s disgraced spies work together to foil a rogue agent when one of their own is kidnapped. Season 4 opens with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House.

The cast for this one also includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo and Jonathan Pryce.

Apple offered no information when the third and fourth seasons might debut, but Season 2 will be with us later this year. You can find the teaser for that season below.
