The underseen comedy What We Do In The Shadows - a mock-doc about four vampires flat-sharing in suburban New Zealand - was Empire**'s eighth best film of 2014. It's been many moons since its cinematic release, and now,* finally*, it's coming out on Blu-ray / DVD. To mark the occasion, here's a deleted scene from the film, featuring an extended look at Deacon (Jonathan Brugh) doing his "erotic", um, "dance" for the group.

After watching that, you're probably in need of a stiff drink and/or a dancefloor, but also some context, which is easier to deliver quickly over the internet.

Essentially, Shadows follows the day-to-day lives of vampires Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Brugh), and Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) as they strive heroically to cope with the demands of modern life. There are all the usual complexities of flat sharing (rent-shy flat mates, bills to be paid, chores), complicated by some rather more unusual ones (the constant craving for human blood, the untimely arrival of vampire hunters, vampire hipsters).

It's very funny. So funny in fact, that one of its jokes made our 32 Funniest Moments Of 2014 feature, which you can read here if you fancy spoiling just one joke contained within the feature film proper.

The home release of **What We Do In The Shadows **unveils itself from behind a figurative velvet curtain on Monday, April 13. You can pre-order a copy here.
